Wigan track Baggies skipper Davies

The Baggies held onto their prized asset over the summer despite interest for the highly rated defender. Jewell attempted to snap the former Luton ace up along with team-mates Ellington and Gera and a deal apparantly worth £10million.

However with West Brom now looking likely to have to face the lottery of the play-offs, faiure to make an immediate return to the Premiership could see Davies, out for the rest of the season due to injury, leave the club.

Any attempt to sign Davies would be met by competition, with harry Redknapp also keen on the Baggies skipper.

Davies apparantly will command a fee of £8million. Which will rise to £8.5million, then £9million and so forth, if past attempts to sign their players is anything to go by.
