Wigan Athletic have today confirmed the permanent signing of versatile defender Donervon Daniels from West Bromwich Albion on a three-year contract.
Daniels, who can play as a centre-half or a right-back, spent last campaign on loan at both Blackpool and Aberdeen.
Blackpool joined Daniels' new club in relegation to League One, after the pair had miserable Championship campaigns.
The Montserrat international joined the West Brom academy from Reading on a youth contract back in 2009, but he failed to break into the first team at the Hawthorns.
The 21-year old becomes Gary Caldwell's fourth signing of this transfer window, after his contract at the Baggies expired.
He follows other free captures Richard O'Donnell, Craig Morgan and his ex-Blackpool teammate David Perkins to the DW Stadium; as Wigan boss Caldwell continues his overhaul ahead of the new season.
Daniels has also previously spent time on loan at Tranmere Rovers and Gillingham.
