Brown is now in contention for tonights friendly at Oakwell against Barnsley.
His capture ends manager Chris Hutchings long chase of the midfielder, after agreeing a fee with Fulham early last week. The move had rumoured to have stalled after Wigan were linked with Bolton midfielder Faye; which has been denied by Hutchings.
Koumas is Hutchings seventh signing of a busy summer which has seen Jason Koumas, Mario Melchiot and Antione Sibierski join.
Hutchings was delighted to finally net his man, speaking to the Official Website he said: "We have worked really hard behind the scenes to make this one happen because i believe he will make a big difference to the side and i am really happy Michael has agreed to join us.
