Swiss to roll in?

The 30 year old defender is a target for Manchester City, Everton and Charlton in the January transfer window, but those three seem unwilling to pay the one million asked by Liverpool, and may wait until the summer, when he will be available on a bosman style free transfer.

Henchoz however is said to be growing restless after just three appearances so far this season, with two of those came in the League Cup, against Middlesbrough and Millwall.


Jewell has made no secret of his desire to bring in Premiership quality players and the Latics may beat the trio of Premiership clubs in landing the Swiss international's signature by launching a bid before the January transfer window, as the Latics are still in the Championship.
