Roberto Martinez confirmed as much suggesting that he is looking to bring in at least two players before the end of August.
He said: "We cannot forget that we need to get another two players in that are ready to compete for places in the first team straight away and help us win games now."
The squad numbers remain largely unchanged from last season with the major move being Di Santo's switch to number 9.
