Many fans believe that Skoko is just what the team need in terms of midfield creativity and he should feature more often.
The player himself said: "January will tell me a lot. If I get a clear signal that I'm not going to be playing regularly, then I'll have to look at other avenues. I'll have to sit down and really think about it.
"But I back my ability to be in the side, so I'm not that worried about it just yet. It's just a matter of opportunity.
"Obviously there's a lot of competition in midfield for the Socceroos, but I don't have a problem with that, there are a lot of good players in the mix, and the positive is we seem to have a lot of talent coming through.
"Obviously I want to be in the side at the World Cup, and I'm still hoping to fight my way back in there."
