Roberts Appeal & Teale Injury Details

"I've seen the video of the incident now and it looks like a nothing offence to me. At worst Jason may have been given a booking but I'm not even convinced that what he's supposed to have done is worth that.

"From what you can see it just looks like Jason has got his foot hooked or caught by the player's legs and he's just trying to free himself and get out of the way. It just looks like a tangle of legs to me to be honest and in my opinion it's never been a sending off.

"You see Jason get a sending off for that and then think about their player that went unpunished for a tackle that leaves one of my players with a broken collar bone and it's impossible not to be frustrated. The officials didn't even know which player had committed the foul which is ridiculous.

"What we'll do now is send a video of the game away and hopefully people will look at that and decide that Jason really didn't deserved to be dismissed."

Jewell also commented on Teale's injury, "It's a blow for us and a blow for Gary as he's been on fire of late and has been looking a real player. He's not in that much pain now, it's more uncomfortable than anything I think, but the broken collar bone will put him out for any time between 6 and 8 weeks.

"It's a real shame but it'll be another chance for Andy Liddell to show what he can do and he was playing well for us out there before his injury and before 'Tealey' got his run in the side. 'Lidds' attitude has been brilliant while he's been out of the side and that's been great to see and I'm sure he can't wait to get back in the side to show what he can do again."
