Roberts - "It would be great to score against JDV"

"I would have been happy with 11 goals by this point at the start of the season. Goals for me at this level have never been a problem so I am not going to worry. I am a striker and scoring goals is my thing." Roberts told the Wigan Evening Post.

"I have always averaged a goal every other game and I am well on target to do that this season and I'm sure I will.

"People judge strikers on paper by how many goals they get in how many games – that is the harsh reality.

JR - Can't wait to face his former team mate JDV
"I am not going to shirk away and I will never worry about going through spells when I am not scoring. The main thing is that we get promoted."

He also spoke about former Latics centre back Jason de Vos whom he will be facing when top play second in Tuesday's crunch game.

"There is no-one much better than Jason in the air. He is really strong and a good player and I am looking forward to coming up against him and we will see what I am made of – it would be great to score against him.

"He never used to kick me in training and this will be the first time I have played against him. We do not have to talk about that game too much because everyone is aware of what is at stake." added JR.

He's also going to have to avoid the referee. Roberts has picked up four bookings so far this campaign. One more will mean a suspension.

He said: "It is not something I am thinking about too much. I am trying to be positive and in the last two games I have tried not to speak to referees at all.

"It has helped that we have been winning, but we will have to see how it goes when we are not winning."
