Returning Stars for Palace Game

Likely Line-Ups.

Wigan Athletic: Filan, Eaden, McMillan, Jackson, Breckin, Jarrett, Bullard, McCulloch, Liddell, Horsfield, Ellington.

Filan comes back into the starting line-up after his ankle trouble to replace Gary Walsh, McMillaan takes Leighton Baines' place at left full-back and Horsefield comes in up front with McCulloch dropping back to the left flank to take Kennedy's place.

The suprise in the line-up, or not as the case may be is that Jarrett will retain his place in central midfield after a superb game in midweek and Tony Dinning's loss of form.

Crystal Palace: Mhyre, Fleming, Symons, Derry, Smith, Hughes, Riihilahti, Black, Johnson, Freedman, Shipperley.

Despite their poor start to the season, Palace will be no push overs. They are short on cover at the back, with both Darren Powell and Tony Popovic getting injured for lengthy amounts of time with thigh and ankle injuries respectively.

Northern Ireland International, Michael Hughes should line-up in central midfield for the Eagles. However it is the attack which is most dangerous. Tommy Black and Andy Johnson will attack from the flanks and with Dougie Freedman and Neil Shipperly up front, goals should not be a problem.

One-to-watch: Andy Johnson.

Prediction

Palace have not started the season well and I feel that Latics will be too strong defensively for the Londeners to break down. Hopefully Ellington will decide to turn up alongside the Horse upfront and we will sneak it 1-0.
