Sunderland V Norwich ( 8.00pm)
is one game that takes places tonight and with Sunderland one of the teams the Latics can catch, but with a game in hand, we undoubtably want the Black Cats to lose this one.

Here are the final day fixtures that will affect the playoff chase.

Burnley v Sunderland ( 1:00pm)

If Sunderland lose to Norwich tonight and lose to Burnley on Sunday, then we must beat West ham to pip Sunderland to the playoffs. This one is a long shot but Norwich will want that title which can be secured tonight and Burnley will want a big send off for manager Stan Ternant who has just been told his contract at Turf Moor will not be renewed.

Coventry v Crystal Palace ( 1:00pm)

In form Palace have recently taken our place in the top six after the defeat to Forest. Coventry beat Gillingham 5-2 on Saturday but it's unlikely that they will get anything from this one and Palace will most likely get a playoff place. However should Palace lose this game and Wigan beat West Ham then we will be back on track for the playoffs.

Ipswich v Cardiff ( 1:00pm)

This game is the one for me. Ipswich are the team currently holding sixth place. They are just two points ahead of Latics and if Ipswich fail to beat Cardiff and the Latics beat West Ham, then we are guarenteed that final playoff place. This is our main hope of a place in the Premiership.

Preston v Sheff Utd ( 1:00pm)

United are in a similar situation to the Latics but have a poorer goal difference and so are not really a threat. They would have to scored 6 more goals than the Latics, should both sides win.

Watford v Reading ( 1:00pm)

Even worse off than Sheffield, Reading would require 16 more goals than ourselves if we get the three points.

Wigan v West Ham ( 1:00pm)

Undoubtably, this is the BIGGEST game in Wigan Athletic's history.

It looks set to be the record attendance with an estimated 20,000 fans set to enter the JJB for this clash.

West Ham look secure in those playoff places thanks to their superb goal difference.

This is a must win game for the Latics otherwise all playoff hopes are out the window!

Come on Wigan!
