Latics boss Roberto Martinez is set to ring the changes as hegives opportunities to his fringe players and talented youth stars in the cup competitions.
Chief amongst those set for a chance to impress is on loan winger Ryo Miyaichi. The young Arsenal player has had a frustrating spell with the Latics after suffering from groin and ankle injuries.
Speaking about Miyaichi's fortunes, Martinez told the Wigan Evening Post: “We need to be careful we don’t push him too early. But I do see his ankle is fully recovered, and it is just a matter of introducing him slowly and seeing how he responds to his individual programme."
The Japenese international is expected to be in line for a place on the bench after coming through 45 minutes of action for the development squad.
