Jewell has rubbished Camaras bad boy image: "The only time I've been upset is when he came back late from the African Nations Cup.
"He's found his spiritual home at Wigan because he enjoys his football and he's working harder than ever before. He signed a new three-year contract in the summer. He's happy to be here and we're happy to have him."
Jewell praised Camaras effort since signing his new contract: "Camara has unbelievable pace. He acts like he's tired sometimes but all of a sudden the ball comes to him, he sniffs a goal and takes it.
"He's a threat. He has a reputation as being a bad boy but he's very quiet and cares about his football."
Camara will look to score in his third consecutive game this Saturday against Bolton.
