Heskeys England Desire

Heskey has made a good start to his Wigan career, with his build up play rather than his scoring record catching the eye. As well as scoring twice this season, Heskey has linked up impressively with his new team-mates.

Despite Peter Crouch ahead of him in the pecking order since Heskeys last England appearance, the former Liverpool and Birmingham striker still harbours hope of donning the three lions shirt in the future.

Speaking to the Manchester evening news, Heskey said:"I was pleased with my goal against Blackburn at the weekend, it was my second and there could have been more."

Sunday was arguably Heskeys best performance so far, scoring a well worked goal and looking dangerous throughout, heres hoping that Heskey can help us rise up the table; Wigan currently lie 15th in the league.
