Heskey has fought his way into England coach Fabio Capello's side and is hopeful of starting on Saturday against kazakhstan on Saturday and Belarus the following Wednesday.
It is thought Heskey is fighting with Portsmouth striker Peter Crouch to partner Wayne Rooney in attack.
