England manager Fabio Capello has called up striker Emile Heskey for the next round of World-Cup qualifiers; but team-mate Chirs Kirkland misses out again.

England face Kazakhstan this Saturday followed by Belarus in Minsk the following Wednesday and Heskey is hopeful of starting after a string of fine performances for the national side.

For Kirkland, it is another frustrating wait with West Brom's Scott Carson replacing the injured Paul Robinson in the third goalkeeping spot.

There is no place in the 23-man squad for former Wigan favourite Jimmy Bullard or for Newcastle captain Michael Owen.
