Fyvie set for talks

The young Scotland midfielder made his debut for the Dons at just sixteen years of age and is also said to be interesting Fulham.

With the Latics track record in developing young Scotish stars, Fyvie is said to be edging toward a move to the DW Stadium.

James McCarthy, Conor Sammon, and Jack McArthur are recent successes from North of the border.

Speaking about the move, Aberdeen boss Craig Brown said: "I think, with maybe another signing to give us cover, we'll be ready to start the season.

"There's been interest, I'm told, from Fulham and Wigan. He has got his agent on the case trying to get him sorted before the start of the season."

Whilst a statement on the Aberdeen official website read: "Aberdeen FC can this morning confirm Fraser Fyvie is currently south of the border holding discussions with Wigan Athletic."

Latics boss Roberto Martinez revealed just last week that he was hopnig to add two big signings, and hopefully one youngster to the ranks over the summer.
