Steve Bruce has confirmed that Maynor Figueroa will become a permanent member of the Wigan Athletic squad when the transfer window opens in January. The Honduran international has adapted well to Premier League football and has done enough for Bruce to splash out £1.5m on the full back.
Speaking to the Wigan Evening Post, Steve Bruce called the decision to sign Figueroa 'a no-brainer. "I think Maynor has done enough here, and there is a deal in place between the two clubs.
"We negotiated in the summer to have him on loan until Christmas, but now with the sort of money we're talking about £1.5million it's a no-brainer not to make it permanent.
"That will go through in January when the transfer window opens and we'll be delighted to get that done."
