"I don't know much about it. I have not had any contact with West Bromwich Albion," Jewell, 40, told the official site.
"I'm happy at Wigan Athletic right now. I am here to do a job, and I have not heard about any approach."
While a Wigan spokesman said: "Paul's said on many occasions he's happy here. As far as we're concerned he's going nowhere."
It would be a sad loss for the club if Jewell did leave as he has really built something up here, and I would say that our current side is better than that of the Baggies.
