Tony Dinning
Dinning, 29, has already admited that he would like to move to Ashton Gate on a perminant basis after being frozen out at Wigan.

"The position at Wigan is that I have no chance of playing for the first team," he told City's website.

"I've had various loan spells and now I feel the time has come to settle down somewhere - that's why I'm here. I'm out of contract at Wigan next summer, so it's important I get my future sorted out. The next few weeks are very important to me."

He has made five appearances for City since joining them on loan in October and set up two goals in the 3-1 win over Wrexham yesterday.

"The early signs are encouraging. Wigan won't allow us to extend the loan, so if we want him it has to be permanent. We're going to put something in writing to him early next week.

"Tony has brought experience to the side - he set up two goals today, showing great vision." said City player-manager Brian Tinnion.

Dinning has previously been on loan at Blackpool, Walsall and Ipswich none of which came to anything.
