Dinning comes back... again

Dinning has now had spells at Ipswich and League One sides, Blackpool and Walsall. Each club in turn has sent the player back.

The midfielder is rumoured to have fallen out with Paul Jewell after the two disagreed over his off the field activites, he has yet to make an appearance since.

Dinning said: "Joe told me this morning that he wouldn't be keeping me and that's fair enough, it happens in football.

"Obviously I'm disappointed because I have really enjoyed myself here but it hasn't worked out.

"I'll go back to Wigan now and see how things work out from there but I have really enjoyed working with the lads here and can see Ipswich pushing on and being heavily involved in the promotion race."

Meanwhile Ipswich boss, Joe Royle admitted: "I have had to tell Tony that we are not in a position to offer him a contract to extend his stay with us.
"He has done reasonably well for us but we must look to the future. There is money available to bring in one player on loan for a month and I can't use that on Tony."
