Jimmy Bullard: Can City afford him?
The energetic midfielder is said to be a £2.5 million target for both Manchester City and Middlesbrough as both clubs look to push up the table and catch the Latics.

Bullard himself has put in some very good performances recently and continues to be an integral part of the Latics squad.

Manager Paul Jewell insists that no one at teh club is for sale and says that Bulalrd is going nowhere.

He said: "I don't want anyone to leave and I don't envisage anyone going out the door. But I will always be the type that if a player comes to me and says he wants to leave then as long as things are right he can go.

"Jimmy has never said to me he is unhappy, and I have never had any offers for him. We were having a bit of a joke about it, because I am sure I saw (City manager) Stuart Pearce and (Middlesbrough's) Steve McClaren in trees behind the training ground."
