Assistant manager Eric Black believes Wigan are in for a tough game against Premiership high flyers Aston Villa this Sunday.
Martin O'Neil's side warmed up for the JJB clash by beating Dutch giants Ajax 2-1. And despite injury concerns over Jon Carew and Gabriel Agonlahor Black thinks Villa have the makings of a strong team.He told the Wigan Evening Post: "They've got just about everything - a solid, powerful back four, a bit of quality and ability in midfield and three up front in (Gabriel) Agbonlahor, (John) Carew and (Ashley) Young, who have got power, pace, skill and craft. It will be a difficult game."
Black also revealed Steve Bruce will be giving reported Villa target Emile Heskey every chance of appearing against his former Leicester City boss.
" don't think he'll train for a few days but we're hopeful we can have a look at him before the Villa game.
"We'll see how that develops, but fortunately we play on Sunday so that gives us an extra day."
