"It was a really enjoyable trip and to feature in both games was a great experience. It's a completely different style of football but I managed to adjust to it and to then contribute in two victories was very pleasing. We have some great players in that squad and although being the new boy was a little strange at first, everyone made me feel very welcome and I feel I settled in well.

"Things went pretty much as well as I could ever have hoped they would and it was certainly one of the most memorable experiences of my football career so far. I'm now back here and am going to focus on trying to keep my place in our side because at the end of the day that is the most important thing. I'll be keeping my feet on the ground and my sights are now firmly set on Saturday's game at Wolves.

"Obviously I'd like to retain my place in the England squad but I know that I will only do that by playing well here at the JJB. That has to be my aim first and foremost and hopefully if I can do that, my international hopes will look after themselves."
