He achieved third place in the player of the year 2003 ceremony, coming behind captain De Vos and Nathan Ellington.
At the age of 33 Filan looks like he could play on forever, he is possibly the only goalkeeper who never needs to dive to save a ball. He only seems to dive away at Huddersfield after the game during the celebrations!!
He has had another excellent season, our first in division one, helping us chase a promotion place.
Despite the Aussie's age, it seems that manager Jewell has complete faith in him and will not be looking for a replacement over the summer.
