Paper Talk: Revenge not Jewell's aim

Jewell - It was a freak defeat last year
The Hammers were Latics' nemesis last season, beating them in the league and the FA Cup and then ending their play-off hopes on the final afternoon of the campaign.
The Latics manager, though, just has his sights set on maintaining the unbeaten start to the new season and won't be drawn into any talk of revenge.
He said: "It was a bit of a freak what happened down at their place last year, us having two sent-off and losing 4-0.
"Then there was the FA Cup loss not to mention Brian Deane's last minute header at home which cost us a play-off place.
"I don't see Sunday's game as a chance of revenge, it's just another game of football.
"It will be a tough one, be in no doubt about that, but it's a fixture we're looking forward to.
"If we did beat West Ham it would be nice, but it still wouldn't make up for the horrible summer I had because of them scoring at our place.
"It's important we keep trying to pick up points as this league is going to be the most competitive there has ever been – I honestly think that.
"We are competing with 16 or 17 teams who will all think they can challenge for a play-off place.
"I'm pleased with the way we've started so far but we have to keep up the hard work."
Jewell reported no fresh injury problems from Tuesday night's win at Millwall and it is expected the same squad will return to London at the weekend to tackle West Ham.
That will mean Emerson Thome staying behind in Wigan again to continue his quest for full fitness.
The Brazilian centre-half, signed last week on a free transfer, is still short of fitness after training on his own through pre-season after failing to negotiate a contract at former club Bolton.
And he also picked up a huge blister on the back of his foot in his first training session with Latics a week ago.
Jewell is reluctant to throw him straight into the fray until he's ready, pointing out that a long season lies ahead.
He may play in the reserves against Preston next Wednesday before coming into consideration for Brighton's visit to the JJB a week on Saturday.
Jewell said: "Emerson has looked after himself in the summer but he is a fair way off our fitness levels.
"He has also got an horrendous blister on his foot so at the moment, he is training on the bike waiting for it to heal.
"Once it does, we can get some proper work into him, but it's a long season so we have to be patient.
"The rest of the players here have had six weeks hard training with a lot of matches, while Emerson hasn't had anything since last season.
"I don't want to put him into the team when he is not match fit. What we'll have to do is cram six weeks hard work into two weeks."
