Embarrassing. In all my years as a fan I don't think I've seen a Wigan side look so disorgainsed or uninterested. Apart from Heskey, and Aghahowa or Scharner when they came on, the players offered nothing. It is very unlike Wigan to be a side who do not turn up - you expect effort at least. A lot of the blame has to be laid at the manager's door - many of the team did not seem to know what their roles were and what was expected of them. The club sais the game was a sell-out, but the atmosphere was amoung the home crowd was really slack - when the third goal went in you could virtually count the Wigan fans left in the ground on one hand.

What a day. The players and the chairman clubbed together to pay for our transport, but our free coach managed to break down on the way - probably the Sherringham coach - and we hitched a lift in an ice-cream van. Not sure if this was part of the Premier League's punishment, but we are having a whip-round to pay the fine. Wigan reckon they got a sell-out crowd, yet at the end there were only 99 of their fans left in the ground. We had hundreds and thousands. The party lives on for another week - and when Bolton come to Upton Park we are going to spoil Big Sam's leaving do. We were good and they were awful.
