Wigan's Injury Worris Ahead of 'Boro Clash.

Goalkeeper Filan has injured his ankle in training, and it looks likely that he is going to miss the game, with Gary Walsh making only his second start for the Latics in goal. Walsh played his previous game for Wigan in the Carling Cup earlier in the season against Hull City.

Horsfield looks to be struggling with the flu and may sit this one out as it is not an essential game for the Latics, with promotion the number one priority.

The Duke, Nathan Ellington seems to be troubled by groin and knee injuries. Both him and Horsfield did not complete the full 90 minutes against Walsall on Saturday.

If both miss out then Liddell is going to be pushed up front alongside Neil Roberts, with Gary Teale coming in on the right flank.

Steve McMillan, who has been in superb form over recent games at left back has suffered a groin injury and may be rested for this one. However, the Scotish full-back will not want to lose his place to Northern Ireland international Peter Kennedy, who could deputise in his place.

When asked about the game and the injury troubles, manager Paul Jewell commented; "We want to win the game but I won't risk anybody who is not 100 per cent. We respect Boro but we don't fear them. They are a quality side in a false position in the table."

Latics (Probable): Filan, Eaden, Kennedy, Breckin, Jackson, Teale, McCulloch, Dinning, Bullard, Liddell, Roberts.
