The 23-year-old Argentine has been scoring goals regularly with Villarreal's B team in the Spanish second division but has already been capped by his country and scored on his debut.
Wigan boss Roberto Martinez is also interested in Manchester City winger Vladimir Weiss. The 20 year old is said to be subject of a loan request from the Latics.
De Ridder leaves Wigan for loan spell with Israeli outfit Hapoel Tel Aviv, whilst former Wigan striker Zaki agrees to join Hull on loan until the end of the season.
