Wigan Athletic have released five players after the 2014/15 SkyBet Championship campaign came to an end.

Following relegation to League One, Latics' manager Gary Caldwell has chosen not to renew the deals of Ali Al-Habsi, Gaeten Bong, William Kvist, Kim Bo-Kyung and Marc-Antoine Fortune.

Each of these players were out of contract this summer and so is Emmerson Boyce. The club captain is also expected to leave after a legendary nine years at the DW Stadium.

Also, the players who Wigan had signed on loan have all returned to their parent clubs.

Whereas the first team players who were shipped out on loan (James Tavernier, Rob Kiernan, Andy Delort, Oriol Riera) will return to the first team for pre-season training.

First team players Jermaine Pennant, Tim Chow and Jordan Flores are also set to be offered new deals.
