Wigan Athletic have confirmed the signing of Danny Whitehead from Vanarama National League side Macclesfield Town.
The attacking midfielder joins the Latics for an undisclosed fee and has put pen-to-paper on a two-and-a-half year deal at the DW Stadium.
However, part of the deal will see the 22-year old spend the remainder of this campaign on loan at Macclesfield.
Wigan development squad players Adam Anson and Louis Robles have also joined the Silkmen on loan until the end of the season.
