"Its nice to finally be back in training as most clubs started back a week and a half ago," Whalley told the official Swindon website.
"I spent most of last week sorting out the move and I'm looking forward to getting things started. There were a few clubs interested but I know Swindon want to play football and it felt right to come here.
"I am a creative player and want to try and get the ball forward as much as I can. If we can get our passing game going we could cause a few problems in this division,"
