We're all going to Cardiff!

Paul Jewell has guided Wigan Athletic to the Carling Cup Final in Cardiff.

The Latics lost 2-1 to Arsenal on the night but have gone through 2-2 on aggregate with the away goals rule comnig into play.

The tie was all square after 90 minutes. A Thierry Henry header cancelled out Paul Scharner's goal from the first leg.

Mid-way through extra-time, Robin Van Persie had seemingly won the tie for Arsenal with a wonderful free-kick.

But the Latics were far from dead. The never say die spirit shone through and Jason Roberts bagged the winner with just two minutes left on the clock.

The travelling army (sold out) from Wigan went bananas and it was nothing more than the team deserved.

Each and every player was absolutely brilliant and the day will live long in the memory.

Make no mistake, Wigan Athletic have arrived in the big league in style. Book your place in Cardiff (26th Feb), it's going to be another huge day in Wigan Athletic history.
