Webster ruling expected soon

Webster invoked a new FIFA ruling allowing players to move within the last year of a three year contract.

However no compensaton was agreed and after moving on to Rangers, Webster was ordered by Fifa to pay Hearts £625,000.

The Edinburgh club have since challenged this and the court of arbitration for sport will settle the matter this week.

Webster said: "The situation has dragged on for quite a while now. The next person that does this will probably have everything sorted in a week - with me it has been over 16 months.

"From my point of view, I have tried to concentrate on football and let the clubs and Fifa sort things out. Hopefully, that will lead to my future at Rangers being sorted out."
