...of dreams for what will be a truely historic game.

Some fans queued throughout the night with the earliest arriving at 2am to guarentee his seat.

Club spokesman Matt McCann told wiganathletic.tv: "The first person arrived at the JJB Stadium at 2am this morning. By 7am the queue had extended round the stadium and when you consider how cold it is at the moment that just goes to reflect the clamour for this fixture.

"We're getting used to sell out crowds at Wigan Athletic these days. Against Arsenal we set a new club and Stadium record with a crowd of 25,004.

"The tickets for the away game at Liverpool were gone within hours of going on sale to season ticket holders and the Spurs this coming weekend is getting close to capacity."

The game could well coincide with Roy Keane's debut for the Latics, should he opt for a move to the JJB. Oh how that would add some spice to the fixture.

Tickets for the Tottenham game on Saturday are also selling well with less than 3,000 left. Those wanting to go to the game are advised to visit the ticket office asap.
