Tough for Haestad

Haestad: Positive Attitude
The 23 year old has now returned to his club IK Start so he can prepare for the start of the Norwegian season after a somewhat unsuccessful time in England.

Hutchings said: "Kristofer was a great lad, worked very hard, and was good to have around the place. He was a good professional but it just didn't work out for him and we felt we had plenty of cover in the midfield area to let him go back.

"Kristofer had that game at Chelsea when he put in the back pass which didn't help things. It has been tough for him to break into the side, and we recently had the run of four or five good results.

"We just felt we didn't need him, and we wish him all the best for what he does next. Paul Scharner is now fully fit and pushing for a first-team start, so we're okay in midfield."

Swedish defender Andreas Granqvist joined the club at the same time as Haestad and has equally struggled to make an impact on the first eleven. However with the loss of Emmerson Boyce to crack ribs it seems that Granqvist may well be called upon.
