Frandsen who is a friend of Tofting played a part in the arrangement and Jewell, while being a fan of Tofting's no nonsence attitude towards the, admitted that he will not be signing for the former Bolton player.
Jewell told the club's official site: "The other bit of news we have is that Stig Tofting is training with us but he is not here with a view to us signing him. He's obviously still a good player and will do a fine job for someone, but we are not looking at him in terms of signing him on. He's a good friend of Per Frandsen's and Per asked if he could come and train with us and I'm happy to help him out. It goes no further than that to be honest but I'm happy to help him build up his fitness as he looks to sort himself out with a new club with the Danish season having finished prior to Christmas.
