There has been no secret that Dinning and Jewell do not get on, but the reason has never become public, despite Dinning's links to gambling and drink in the media.
Dinning had an unsuccessful loan spell earlier this season at Walsall but the Saddlers manager hastily sent him back in favour of Jamie Lawrence who had gone the other way.
He made his debut in the 1-1 draw with Oldham Athletic on Saturday.
