JR: Sent home from training
Four players were sent home from training after complaining of feeling ill and Jewell is praying that they will be fine for Saturday's crunch clash.

I am sure they will be fighting fit come Saturday as this is a game that nobody wants to sit out.

Jewell told the club's official website: "Alan Mahon, Gary Teale, Jason Roberts and Jimmy Bullard have all missed training today as they are a bit under the weather. Hopefully it's nothing too serious and we'll see them again by Thursday, but they have been advised to stay away from training in an attempt to recover properly.

"We've not actually seen 'Mahony' since Saturday as he has been really poorly but, as his knee is still sore, he's not as much of a worry as he is unlikely to be available on Saturday anyway. Hopefully the other lads will all be OK but they are staying away so the illness doesn't spread and it's certainly better that they are ill early in the week, rather than later."

Meanwhile Shefki Kuqi may well make the game. Ipswich boss Joe Royle is hoping the Fin shows no reaction to training today and wants to take him to the JJB. Royle knows Kuqi is a key man in the Ipswich line-up.

He said: "I will decide in the morning about Shefki training with the first-team squad. He has trained with Simon Thadani and it has gone well so we will see. After that we will decide on Friday about including him in the squad."
