The 26 year old Honduran international has struggled during his time with the Latics after a bad knee injury ruled him out for a lengthy period of last season.
With the arrivals of Andrew Taylor and Aaron Taylor-Sinclair first team ooprtunities for Garcia are limited.
Garcia has so far made one appearance for the club in the Capital One Cup against Manchester City in September 2013.
