There are six weeks left until the start of the season and the club are hopeful of selling even more tickets before the big kick off, hopefully reaching the 4,000 mark.
Chris Ammonds, Media Manager at Wigan Athletic said: "We're absolutely delighted and feel it's a sign of how far the club has come that we have now sold over 3000 season tickets for the first time ever.
It demonstrates that the fans are as excited as we are about the season ahead and with almost six weeks still to go, we are hopeful of selling even more tickets as the day of our first home match against Preston gets ever closer."
