Jason Roberts: Set to return
A number of regular first team players were rested for the FA Cup clash and are set to return.

Gary Teale, Mike Pollitt, Jimmy Bullard, Jason Roberts and Graham Kavanagh are set to return to the fold.

Damien Francis, Josip Skoko and Neil Mellor are likely to make way after poor performances in the defeat to City.

If the rumours are true, Josip Skoko is lined up for a loan move to Stoke City in the Championship after failing to impress during his short spell at the JJB.

Andreas Johansson may well keep his place up front alongside Jason Roberts are some impressive performances of late. While Reto Ziegler could be replaced by Alan Mahon on the left flank after a difficult first two games for the Latics.

Henri Camara (African Nations Cup), David Connolly (hamstring), Emerson Thome (cheek), Arjan De Zeeuw (ankle), Steve McMillan (again), David Wright (hamstring), Lee McCulloch (double-hernia) and Ryan Taylor (foot) will all miss the game.

Wigan (from): Pollitt, Filan, Chimbonda, Baines, Henchoz, Scharner, Jackson, Teale, Ziegler, Mahon, Bullard, Kavanagh, Skoko, Francis, Mellor, Johansson, Roberts.

Everton meanwhile are bang in form at the moment with four wins from their last six games. James McFadden (nose), James Beattie (hamstring) and Matteo Ferrari (hamstring) are all doubtful for the game.

Tim Cahill and Alan Stubbs will return for the Toffees after sitting out the 1-1 draw with Chelsea through suspension and cup-tie respectively.

Joseph Yobo is away on African Cup of Nations duty with Nigeria and will miss the game.

In the previous meeting between the sides this season a Damien Francis goal shortly after half-time was enough to hand the Latics a 1-0 win.

Prediction: Wigan 2 - 1 Everton.
