Josip Skoko
He has been working hard to earn a place in the regular starting line-up but has found it difficult to get past Graham Kavanagh and Damien Francis who have been impressive.

However a dip in form for Francis has seen Skoko thrust into the starting line-up.

Skoko, 30 on Saturday, told wiganathletic.tv: "It's nice to get a start finally, and I think we kept our discipline really well. We lost to a set piece which wasn't really how we wanted it to end. I think it was a positive performance for us and I think it will give us something positive to forward to over the next week.

"It's been a good week and a half for me. I was involved with Newcastle, Liverpool and now today. I'm just looking forward to getting more and more football now, and will try to do my best."

Prior to his recent run in the team, Skoko had been limited to just two minutes after coming on as a second half substitute in the 2-1 at the Hawthorns.
