Reserve goalkeeper Pollitt is the club's current longest serving player after joining from Rotherham in the summer of 2005 following promotion to the top flight.

Whilst Australian international midfielder Skoko has seen his first team opportunities restricted this term, he has proven in the last month to be a more than capable back up.

Speaking of the contract talks, Latics boss Steve Bruce said: "I'm meeting with Skoko and Pollit's representatives next week.

"I've got plans in my own mind. If we stay up it makes the decisions a lot easier."
