Sing Up!

It was only a matter of months ago that PJ was calling for more fans and more noise at the JJB and he has made the same request again.

It is a fair point, most other clubs in the division would be drawing in a full house if they were at the top of the table and playing the way we are.

He told the clubs official site:"I appreciate that a lot of the time it's up to us to generate excitement for the supporters but today, because we did not play very well for long periods, the atmosphere was virtually nothing. It's in games like todays where our supporters become more important than at any other time in my opinion. We're professionals though, so we will get on with things, but at times I feel we would benefit from the lift our supporters could give us when things are going against us.

"I got into trouble last time I spoke on this subject but at times I do wish we had more vocal encouragement in some of the games here. It's especially important when it's not happening for us as it wasn't in the first half here today and appreciate that therefore we haven't really fired the crowd up. However, the supporters are our twelth man as far as I'm concerned and are an important part of the team.

"I'll probably get slaughtered for saying all that but I would like more from our supporters here at the JJB in terms of vocal encouragement and getting right behind the team."
