Wigan Athletic's new loan signings, Jerome Sinclair and Josh Murphy, both made their debuts in last night's match.
The Latics were defeated 2-0 at home to free-scoring Watford, as Troy Deeney bagged a brace to send the Hornets top of the Championship.
However, there was some positive news for Wigan fans, as Sinclair and Murphy both made their debuts from the bench as substitutes.
Murphy came on in the 55th minute to replace Jermaine Pennant, whereas Sinclair only made his appearance in the 82nd minute of the game; he replaced Marc-Antoine Fortune.
Both youngsters joined the Latics on Monday afternoon. Jerome Sinclair joined his Liverpool teammate Sheyi Ojo at the DW Stadium on a similar loan deal until the end of the season.
Wigan boss Malky Mackay is hoping Sinclair can provide firepower in the forward line, as goals have been hard to come by for the strikers this campaign.
On the other hand, Murphy only joins on a month-long loan from Norwich City. He is a left winger by trade and has been brought in to cover for the suspended James McClean.
