The flamboyant Austrian has been a key player for Wigan Athletic over the past few seasons, and despite his regular want away comments he has become a firm fans favourite.
However as with all good things, it seems likely to come to an end. With his contract up in the summer and a lack of fit with the Martinez total football style, Scharner has been talking up moves to a number of other Premiership clubs.
He is quoted: "Fulham, Everton, Aston Villa and Sunderland are interested in signing me, which would even guarantee me a spot in Europe. So there is no reason to stay here."
