Rumour mill starts up in October

At 17 years of age, Galindo has already got a massive reputation in Bolivia. Captain of the U20 national side, Galindo is said to prefer a move to the DW ahead of Spartak Moscow and Fiorentina due to the success the club has had with players such as Wilson Palacios, Antonio Valencia, Hugo Rodallega and Maynor Figueroa.

The price being quoted is £700,000, which is quite expensive for a 17 year old. The transfer would not be as simple as paying the fee as most Latics fans would know. A work permit would have to be secured for the teenager but this has rarely been a problem when dealing with South American players in the past. The only major hiccup was the dealing with Hendry Thomas and that was sorted out eventually.

Of course, we are at the start of October. If this is supposed to be a reliable source, then the Daily Mirror where the story originated have cracked a story very quickly. Whether the deal goes ahead, only time will tell.
