The Latics are working hard to complete deals for Brentford mdifielder Adam Forshaw and FC Tours' striker Andy Delort before the transfer window closes.

With regards to Forshaw the move is believed to be held up but only temporarily and the transfer is expected to be completed before the close of the window.

Whilst Uwe Rosler is also hopeful of adding Delort to his forward ranks after missing out on Cameron Jerome.

“The bid, our second bid, has still not been accepted,” said the Wigan boss. “Every manager remains very hopeful until the deadline on Monday night. The hope never dies.”

The transfer window closes at 11pm on Monday evening and football fans are gearing up for a night glued to car windows and over-excitied crowds of young supporters gathered round reporters on Sky Sports News.
