However new Latics boss Uwe Rosler believes his side have what it takes to stop the Rams.

Speaking ahead of the game Rosler told the Wigan Evening Post: "They are playing well - there is no question about that. They have got pleny of momentum beind them, but we also have momentum afer some god results recently.

"Our confidence levels are getting higher game by game, and the boys were disappointed at only drawing agaisnt Burnley.

"They feld they had been the better team, the stronger team, and when you feel that way against the decond-best team in the league then you believe you can do that week in, week out.

"The Championship is unforgiving - you have to put everything to have in every single game. But I feel we hae enough qaulity to get something at Derby, without question.

"The biggest problem we have is being able to recover in time, but I also see improvement in that respect."

Jean Beausejour should return from suspension for the game to give Rosler a further option, whist James McClean and Callum McManaman had a good rest for the game with Burnley. There are also recalled loanees Nouha Dicko and Rob Kiernan who may be given an opportunity to impress.
