Roger ready for Rotherham

The energetic Honduran midfielder knows the weekend's game is a must win for the Latics with Rotherham sitting just four points better off in the Championship relegation battle.

"It’s a must-win for us right there," Espinoza told the Wigan Evening Post. “Obviously all games are must-win, but this one even more so because of the situation and the fact they are just above us in the table.

“They’re a team that just came up, and they want to stay up at the end of the season.

“We are also determined to move up the table, and it should be a good game. “We’ve been able to handle the pressure in the past, and I don’t see why we won’t be able to do so again.

“We have players who have handled the pressure at many other clubs as well as Wigan, and it shouldn’t be a problem.

“A couple of wins and you don’t know where it’s going to take you. The same thing happened to us last year, around Christmas, and I think there’s a good opportunity for us to do the same again.”

Espinoza will be hoping for a starting position against the Millers at the weekend as he looks to build on his performance against Watford.
